Good evening, please see the announcements and upcoming events for next week. Last week, students had the chance to learn about Dducks and grouse with Gordie Liske in the wall tent. Learning how to pluck, cut, prepare and cook the birds are all parts of the indigenous ways of knowing an doing.
Breakfast Club
We continue to offer a breakfast program to all Itlo studdents. Serving whole wheat toasts, bagels, cereals, milk, cheese, yogurts, oatmeal and fruits. We are looking for Breakfast Program volunteer from 7:50 - 8:40 each morning. Please sign up
Halloween Dance - Thursday, October 24th (6 -8 pm)
This Halloween dance is to help start fundraising for a new laminator for the school !
Admission by donations!
We will be selling popcorn, snacks, water and juice. Come out and have fun with your family! Costumes are welcomed!
Changing Weather
As you can feel, the weather is changing and winter is creeping up on us. Please remind your child to dress in layers and to wear, or pack winter hats and mittens for outdoor recesses. Students spend an average of 80 minutes per day outdoors and we want to make sure they are nice and warm when playing outside. All students play outdoors at the exception of rain or when its colder then -30.
Friday, Nov. 1st - Treats for Teachers
Treats for Teachers: If you'd like to contribute some tasty treats for ?t??? staff Friday November 1st. These are appreciated by teachers and support staff to fuel their day as they write report cards [they don't have to be fancy or homemade!!]. The sign up link/info is included
Playground Loose Parts
We are looking to increase our outdoor loose parts toys for students at recess. We are looking for donations of used large bowls, pots, pans, large utensils for studnets to play with at recess. Thank you in advance :)
